FAQ

What size power station do I need for home backup?

Add up the watts of what you must run (fridge, CPAP, router, lights), multiply by the hours of the outage, then allow for about 15% inverter loss and a 20% safety margin. Our size calculator does this for you.

Can a power station run my refrigerator?

Most 1,000 Wh+ units can, as long as the surge (peak) rating covers the compressor’s start-up draw, which is often 2–3× its running watts. Check your fridge’s label.

Power station vs gas generator?

Power stations are quiet, produce no fumes and can be used indoors, but they hold a fixed amount of energy. Gas generators run as long as you have fuel but must stay outdoors, away from windows.
